Virtual Coffee

join me for coffee!.jpg>

So, I totally forgot today was Tuesday. Not that I'm not excited to see you for our virtual coffee date, but it totally slipped my mind. Which is why my house isn't very neat and tidy for your visit. And why I'm just now putting the coffee on. Those long weekends always have me forgetting what day it is for a while.

Well, now that I'm a bit less flustered...

If you were really here for coffee with me, I'd ask what did you do this past weekend.

I'd tell you all about the hot air balloon festival we went to.
And how we made a trip to the Denver Zoo.
I'd offer you a cinnamon roll and tell you that Evan made them for us for breakfast yesterday. They were delicious and he made little mini ones. I love it when he randomly decides to bake. He's quite a good cook. He just doesn't love doing it as much as I do.

I'd probably have to excuse myself quite a few times because I'd need to have Julia try to use the bathroom. I randomly decided on Saturday that we'd put her in underwear. She's done a great job so far. A lot of accidents, but a few success thrown in there too. She's starting to get the hang of it. I'm starting to remember just how long you have to hang out in the bathroom with a trainee.
I'd tell you that my parents will be here in 2 weeks from Thursday and my girls are super excited. Evan's parents are talking about making a trip out here in the fall as well. Grandparent visits are much more exciting when you don't see them as much as you'd like. We put the countdown on the calendar when grandparents come so Elisabeth can see how many more days she has left to wait.
I'd tell you that after you leave I should really clean my house. And do laundry. Then I might pout in front of you because the thought of cleaning today is not very fun. Did you know that some people actually like to clean? And do it for fun or when they're bored?!?! I'm mainly talking about my sister-in-law. I actually think she and I would be fabulous neighbors. We'd swap kids when we were sick of the ones in our own houses, she'd clean my house and do my laundry, I'd organize her kitchen and cook for her. I'd also do the gardening for both places and make Ethan help me dig holes and she would take my girls clothes shopping. I'd wear Owen for her so she could hang out at her house solo for awhile. Hm. I wonder if she'd drive out with the boys to clean my house for me today...
