Go Cubs Go

On Sunday, we ventured to Denver to watch a Cubs vs. Rockies game at Coors Field. This was both of the girls' first Cubs game. Of course, we were all decked out in our Cubs best! Even though the Cubs lost (rolling of the eyes), we had an excellent time. Julia was awesome the whole time (which was way beyond what we were expecting) and Elisabeth had lots of fun cheering and singing along to the songs.

In the car on our way!
Nothing is more attractive than a guy wearing his child. No joke, I love it.
Coors field!!!
Look how much she loves her daddy!
Derek Lee fans.
Poor baby fell asleep for 2 innings. :(

We tried waiting to see if any of the Cubs players would be out after the game to sign a ball for Ebeth, but we think they were too sad from their terrible, terrible game. We told Ebeth we'd try again next time.

This is how we roll...

We like to take close up pictures of each other...

We like to let the cat out of the bag (or drag him out by his face)...
We like to journal about our day...
We like to lay in unison...
We like to fall while running at our friends' house and face plant on the driveway and totally scrape up our nose before school starts...
We like to eat...
And do it with no manners whatsoever...
We like to dress up and hope everyone thinks this is our real hair...
We like to sleep in our new (but completely opposite of what we ordered) bed sheets...
We like to cuddle our babies...

And make this face when we are asked to smile...
We like to play with the cat who's desperate to get out of the basement...

We like to cuddle...
We like to play peek-a-boo with the cats while we do laundry...

Even though the cats have no idea they should be playing along...

That's how we roll.

School Days, School Days!

Remember this little girl? The one in the puffy pink coat who was so excited about her first Christmas tree hunt at the ripe age of 12 months?
Or this little girl? With the banana curls and the love of Dora the Explorer and Blues Clues.
Or maybe this little girl? The one who loves to sing and dance and has the big, beautiful personality.
Well, she started first grade on Wednesday.
She still loves a good Christmas tree hunt.
She doesn't watch Dora or Blue anymore, but happily watches Yo Gabba Gabba and Sesame Street with her little sister.
She still has curls (though not so banana-y).
She definitely still loves to sing and dance.
And she absolutely still has that big, beautiful personality.
It's going to be a great year for Elisabeth, First Grader At Last!

Oh, and this little girl? She decided to start walking yesterday. ;)

Time for more cell phone pics blog!

So, today was official WW weigh in day and I lost 5.2 pounds!!!! Thank you, thank you, I am excited too! I know not every week will be like this, but still, it's a good start.

Okay, I was clearing pictures from my phone and thought I'd share some with you. Some are from when we were still in Pekin. Here we go!!!

Kyle, Ethan, Jana and Ebeth swimming at the YWCA in Pekin sometime in May.

The Papa Parade!!
Aunt Kyle bought Ebth a new stroller for her twin babies. Obviously, Julia has plans on sharing it with Elisabeth. :)
Jana took pictures of Julia in a tutu while they were here visiting. Here's one of my favorites.
Julia hanging out in the pack and play in Pekin when she was still sleeping in my bedroom.
Elisabeth likes to sling her babies just like her mommy. :)
Ethan taking Julia for a walk. Julia was psyched!
Elisabeth filling out her library card for Colorado Springs.
Fishing with Papa minutes before falling into the lagoon (remember?).
The girls dancing in Jana's kitchen before we moved.
Elisabeth is the monkey bar queen.
