A day in the life of Julia.

Julia will be 17 months next week. She currently can identify her nose, mouth, tongue, eyes, ears, cheeks, hair, hands, toes, teeth (which she is getting 6 more of right now) and belly. She can say hi, mom, dad, bye, cat, dog, car, yeah (not "yes", but "yeah") and shhh. She can sign done, more, eat, please, and thank you.

She enjoys watching Yo Gabba Gabba and Sesame Street, football, baseball and basketball. She also will stop everything to listen the Sunday Morning theme song.

Julia enjoys playing with babies and books. She also will help with laundry and vacuuming. She does not enjoy Elisabeth telling her to do things or getting her face cleaned.

Julia screams in delight when she sees airplanes and buses. She does like seeing the occasional bird, dog and cat while out on walks. She also demands to wear her shoes all day long and encourages you to do the same.

Julia likes all food except for broccoli and strawberries. She is touch and go with some green vegetables, but generally will eat whatever's in front of her. She will refuse almost all spoon feeding because she's a big girl and can do it herself. Kind of.

This is Julia telling me she is all done with her wagon ride to the mail box because she didn't realize that she'd have to be strapped in (unlike in the house where she gets to walk all over the wagon while it sits in the dining room), which made her angry and screamy the entire time.


Here, Julia is trying to put her shoes on herself, which she can not do, but insists on trying to do EVERY DAY.


Sometimes Julia likes to sit on this horse while she watches tv.
